Generation Beta: The Emerging Urban Powerhouse

Nearly 40% of Gen Beta's spending will occur in the APAC region, with two-thirds of high-spending consumers concentrated in India and China.

Beta Generation, born to Millennials and Gen Z, will greatly change the world’s money system. Born between 2025 and 2038, this generation will account for 18% of the world’s population by 2050. Basically, with their unique demographics and spending patterns, Gen Beta is poised to redefine the economic landscape.

Asia’s Gen Beta: Smaller Yet Richer

Even if the number of Gen Beta people in Asia-Pacific goes down, they will still be able to buy a lot. Almost 40% of what Gen Beta spends will be in Asia-Pacific. In fact, most of the people who spend the most money will be in India and China.

Wealth Shifting Away from High-Income Countries

Historically, high-income countries like the US, Japan, and Europe have dominated global spending. However, this trend is shifting, and Gen Beta‘s spending will be less concentrated in these traditional markets. When Gen Beta works best, wealthy nations probably will use less of the world’s total funds. Moreover, it is expected to go down from 65% now to 48%.

The Rise of Urban Gen Beta

By 2040, a large number of Gen Beta will likely live in cities. Almost 60% may live there. This change happens because cities can help them find jobs and do well. So, cities turn into places where Gen Beta spend money and live their lives.

Gen Beta: A Bridge Generation for Technology

Born to Gen Z and Alpha, Gen Beta will connect with technology easily. They will probably buy a lot more electronics. Moreover, the market may reach $113 billion by 2035. This is much larger than what Gen X is expected to spend, about 2.4 times more.

Gen Beta’s effect on the world’s money situation is still happening. It’s obvious this group will be very important in making the future. How many they are, where they live, and what they buy will change what’s popular in stores. Additionally, this will affect money around the world for a long time.

Gen Beta will be the most urban generation ever, with 58% of them living in cities by 2040.
