Yaroslav Golendukhin is the developer of the language-learning application “Hey!”, designed to help users improve their English proficiency. He is currently a student in the 11th grade at the North Kazakhstan Region Department of Education of the Akimat Communal State Institution "Petropavlovsk City Education Department" Communal State Institution “BEST” language gymnasium.He has been passionate about programming from an early age. His first steps in this field began at a local computer club, where he learned the basics of Scratch and Python, later continuing his education online by studying mobile app development using the Unity game engine.In 9th grade, together with a classmate, he developed the app “EngWay”, aimed at teaching English to younger schoolchildren in a game-based format through interactive tasks, mini-games, and audio hints.Currently, Yaroslav is participating in an international online project focused on the development of educational and developmental games, supported by a Canadian philanthropist.He regularly takes part in programming and computer science olympiads and competitions. In both 2024 and 2025, he won the city programming olympiad. Also, he received first place at the student conference sections of Novosibirsk State University and Saint Petersburg State University with projects related to mobile applications for language learning.In 2025, Yaroslav was awarded third place at the Republican Science Project Competition for School Students in Kazakhstan, where he presented his application “Hey!”, which was later successfully patented by the Kazakhstan Patent Office.Yaroslav plans to pursue a professional career in the field of information technology.
